Julie Malan has always had an eye for art. Raised with an appreciation of nature, travel, education and adventure, Julie, at a young age, was exposed to the wonder and beauty of creativity through a cameras lens. After excelling in photo classes in high school and junior college, and winning photography contests, Julie was accepted at Brooks Institute of Professional Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. In 1987, graduating with honors and a BA from the Brooks Institute, Julie headed to Bend, OR, to open up her first photography studio.
